Igrišče: Pravokotnik približno 5×8 metrov (neformalno) oziroma natančno 5×8 m po uradnih pravilih. Kralj stoji v sredini igrišča. Vsaka ekipa postavi 5 kubbov enakomerno vzdolž svoje zadnje črte.

Field: Rectangle ~5×8 metres (casual) or exactly 5×8 m (official rules). The King stands in the centre. Each team places 5 kubbs evenly along their baseline.

Teams alternate. On each turn:

1. Throwing: Each team member throws one baton at the opponent's kubbs. Batons must be thrown underarm (not end over end). They must travel beyond the King's line.

Throwing advantage: If you knock down all field kubbs, your team may throw from the nearest field kubb — not from the baseline.

Once all of the opponent's kubbs (field and baseline) are knocked down, topple the King. That team wins. If a team accidentally knocks down the King before clearing all kubbs, they immediately lose.
